Every time I go for a run along the Seine, I always pass this restaurant, as it is my only route to the river. However, this time I finally went inside for lunch with my friend.

The maps and chalkboard menus adorning the walls contribute French country-style elements, imparting a casual yet textured aesthetic. This starter is quite nice, as the eggplant is very fresh and sweet. However, the puff pastry with cream cheese is a perfect match, which I had not realized before.

I really enjoy this main meal. The sweet potatoes are dense and sweet, perfectly complementing the savory texture of the shredded pork. However, it is a bit too much for me.

The best way to experience French culture in Paris, aside from visiting traditional markets, is to savor local homemade dishes in bistros. For me, it is absolutely impossible to dine at Michelin-starred restaurants every time due to budget constraints; therefore, dining at bistros is definitely my first choice, especially as it is the best way to learn about French food culture.
